ORAL HEALTH LITERACY THROUGH INNOVATIVE MOBILE TECHNOLOGY IS PROMOTED AT THE AOMA CONVENTION IN SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ.
Dr. Tony Hashemian presented a session on Promoting Oral Health Literacy through Innovative Mobile Technology at the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association (AOMA) 94th annual convention held in Scottsdale, Ariz. on April 13-17.
During his presentation, Dr. Hashemian discussed the potential advantages that healthcare apps provide for patient oral and systemic health. He also reviewed the research that supports the use of text-based health messaging, described the current state of science that connects salivary testing to oral and systemic health, identified the types of data these apps acquire and how to integrate the information with oral and systemic health recommendations.
